Nova Educational Center is a tutoring and foundations centre in Umm Salal Mohammed, Qatar. We believe every student starts from a different point, so we do not place students in a program before we know where they really stand. Our goal is for students to build their skills step by step, and for families to see their progress clearly.

Foundations and tutoring programs at our Umm Salal centre

We offer a range of programs covering students' needs at different stages:

Foundations (ages 6 to 10)

Foundations programs in Arabic, English and maths. Each program is 12 sessions, and the fee is 900 QAR instead of 1100. It includes:

  • A free placement test.
  • The student book and Nova curricula.
  • Progress tracking, with movement between levels based on mastery.

The Arabic foundations curriculum, for example, consists of five sequential levels that build reading, writing and comprehension. You can see the curriculum details on the Curriculum page.

Academic support

For school students who need regular support in a subject, to close gaps and keep up with the school syllabus. This program also starts by finding the student's level, so sessions focus on what they actually need rather than repeating what they already know.

Final revision and Exam-eve review

Focused programs before exams, including, for example, a mid-term maths review: 4 sessions of 90 minutes each for 600 QAR. And the Exam-eve review program for a last review just before the exam.

Private lessons

One-to-one lessons (one teacher, one student) by the hour:

  • Primary: 125 QAR.
  • Preparatory: 150 QAR.
  • Secondary: 175 QAR.
  • SAT maths and university admission tests (VIP): 250 QAR.

Admission Prep subscription

For secondary students preparing for university admission tests: 75 QAR for 30 days, including full 60-question maths practice tests in multiple versions, with a worked solution after every question and tracking of score progress. Details are on the admission test training page.

How do we assess a student's level?

We do not start with guesswork. Secondary students preparing for university admission begin with Nova Placer, an adaptive maths placement test for admission tests that chooses the next question based on the student's previous answer:

  • 60 questions in two hours.
  • A score out of 275, weighted by question difficulty.
  • A clear level and a suggested program based on the result.
  • The first attempt is free for each phone number, and the result can be sent to WhatsApp.

In foundations, we combine assessment tools with the teacher's observation to decide the student's final level. Secondary students can start now with the free placement test from home.

Bundles and the sibling discount

To ease the cost for families, we offer:

Integrated Foundation Bundle

Arabic, English and maths together at 10% off: 2430 QAR instead of 2700, for one month, with 12 sessions per program at 3 sessions a week, and Nova curricula free of charge.

Sibling discount

5% for the first sibling, and an extra 5% for the second sibling, on the total invoice. So if you enrol more than one child at the centre, the discount applies to the total invoice rather than to a single program, and we are happy to explain the exact calculation when you contact us.
